It began with an enthusiastic young cook and her Volvo station wagon.
Ten years later Style Blueprint Nashville had this to say in an article about Kristen Winston Catering:
“Kristen Winston is at the top of her game. She was the preferred caterer for the opening of Nordstrom and courageously takes on high profile events like the Symphony Ball. What makes her special is obvious from her interview—she is a savvy business woman, crazy about attention to details.
Not only does she keep it together when things get heated up in the kitchen, she understands the high stakes when it comes to Nashville’s important events.”
Kristen attributes her company’s success to:
• Hiring talented and committed managers and staff.
• Exceptionally high quality standards.
• Dedication to excellence in service.
• Extreme attention to detail.
The merit of that philosophy was evident recently when N Focus magazine, which covers major Nashville area social and charity happenings, selected Kristen Winston Catering in the category of Best Overall Menu in its annual Best Parties awards with this notation:
“There was a three-way tie for the best menu this year – and surprise! – they were all created by the same culinary genius: Kristen Winston. Queen of the patrons party, Kristen is the one to thank for the delicious offerings at the Frist Patrons, Literary Awards Patrons and Swan Ball Patrons parties this year.”
Raised in the Brentwood area and now a Nashville resident, when not overseeing the complex operation of KW Catering Kristen has an even more challenging assignment: managing with her husband John the delightful complexities of life with her two young daughters, Meg and Kate.
